The Blog
I’m in the B&B with rain lashing the window. And the wind is trying to blow the roof off. In June.
But I got an idea. A blog. Like an old-school one. Where I go on about ordinary life. That’s it. No fluff. An ordinary voice.
Wait. Leave it. Another blog? Nah. Hang on, there’s a thing there. Start the blog. Keep it human. Sounds good. Bear blog is the platform for that type of blog. Yeah, now you’re making reasons to do it. But why not?
There’s a point there. So many blogs. Millions. But the small web is on the rise. I can be part of it. Hard to beat that argument. I’m going to do it. Oh, oh. Sounds like a decision, that does.
I grabbed the domain. Thinking I’d have it there. In case I went for it. But I was already writing like I needed an opening post.
I did a deal. I said: write posts that would work for the blog I had in mind. Write more than one. That’d be a good test. If I could write a few posts before I launch? Yeah, that would tell me something.
I sat down and wrote this post. It didn’t take long. And it said what I wanted to say. I learned that you have to go for it. Nothing to lose. A blog is as good as the posts you write. But you do have to write ‘em. And hit the ‘Publish’ button.
The wind is still trying to blow the roof off. But we’ll go for walk now the rain stopped. It’ll help think of more things to write about.
